Chapter 9
- "Each of us speaks about 25,000 words a day... How much of [those words] reflect pride, rather than a gospel-motivated humility?"
- "Encourage others each and every day."
- "How many of your twenty-five thousand words each day could be characterized as corrupting talk?" (Eph. 4:29)
- "Truly edifying words are words that reveal the character and the promises and the activity of God."
- "In Ephesians 4:29, Paul commands that our verbal communication always be purposeful."
- "What do [my] words reveal about [my] spirit?"
- "Let's experience afresh the transforming power and potential of this command and promise, so that increasingly a higher percentage of our twenty-five thousand words each day are soul-edifying, life-transforming, God-glorifying words of encouragement."
