Chapter 3
- "Jesus was radically redefining greatness..." Mark 9:35b - "If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all."
- The pride of the disciples who walked, talked, lived, and trained with Christ is incredible... gives us all hope!!! I'm just like them... sometimes worse...
- "Jesus does not categorically criticize or forbid the desire and ambition to be great. Instead, He clearly redirects that ambition, redifines it, and purifies it: "But whoever would be great amoung must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all." (Mark 10:43-44)
- Christ is the "ultimate example of true greatness." He was a servant. "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45)
- True greatness is defined: "Serving others for the glory of God."
- "What it means to be great in the eyes of God - humbly serving others for His glory!"

and he didn't stop...he died as the perfect propitiation for our sin, how great...and rose again to proclaim from the heavens what our sins really are....FORGIVEN! as great as the mountains or as small as a pebble, all reside as in the bottom of a great ocean...
